Gerber Technology To Launch WebPDM 5.0 At Technology Solutions / Material World Expo
Gerber Technology (Gerber) is showcasing its advanced software solutions at the Technology Solutions/Material World Expo , March 16-18, 2005 Booth $1418. Gerber Technology also offers a complete range of hardware automation systems designed to automate and significantly improve the efficiency of information management, product design and development, pre-production, and production processes in the apparel industry.
At the show, Gerber will introduce the latest version of its WebPDM solution. WebPDM 5.0 is an integrated web-based software that facilitates communication and accelerates the coordination of product development tasks by linking design, engineering, costing, and manufacturing information through a centralized database of product-related information. As a key tool supporting concurrent product development, WebPDM 5.0 provides a unified view of specifications and product information, and a consistent means of accessing that information in "real-time" via a fully functional Internet-browser client that allows internal and external partners to collaborate remotely.
Gerber will also be demonstrating its AccuMark software, the standard for pattern design, grading and marker making. In its latest version, AccuMark 8.1 contains the most comprehensive set of pattern development tools in the industry, along with many other features to meet the fast-changing needs of today's apparel manufacturers, including more powerful notch positioning controls; accelerated background batch processing; and Microsoft® SQL database compatibility for large enterprise users. AccuMark software is used by more than 10,000 customers worldwide, with more than 22,000 seats installed.
AccuMark V-StitcherT 3D garment design and visualization software by Browzwear will also be demonstrated. AccuMark V-Stitcher offers powerful, true-to-life modeling that enables users to create a virtual garment from a 2D pattern over a 3D body image and integrates seamlessly with Gerber's AccuMark pattern design software via a software interface. The latest version of AccuMark V-Stitcher allows for the creation of any extreme pose to enable more accurate fitting of athletic, infant and children's apparel, offers a new male personalized figure ("avatar") that offers unprecedented photo realistic quality and features a fabric testing kit that will enable AccuMark V-Stitcher users to accurately and easily test the mechanical properties of each fabric.
"Technology Solutions/Material World provides us with the opportunity to demonstrate how Gerber Technology's software solutions, in combination with our hardware offerings, continue to meet the changing needs of our customers. We are pleased to be able to introduce our newest version of WebPDM here, and show attendees the value of being able to collaborate remotely via our fully functional Internet-browser client," said Jeff Rosenzweig, Regional Director, North America South.
