Ansoft's 2005 HFSS Users Workshops Showcase Customers' Success

Technical presentations by more than a dozen expert designers from leading high-performance electronics companies, including Intel, Motorola and Freescale, highlighted this year's HFSS Users Workshop.

More than 200 customers attended the events in San Jose and Boston to discuss their design challenges and share how HFSS helps to solve them. According to Peter Aaen, of Freescale Semiconductor, "The main benefit of attending the workshop is to exchange ideas with peers, interact with Ansoft staff and gain insight into Ansoft's product roadmap."

The opening keynote from Ansoft Founder and CTO Dr. Zoltan Cendes, titled "Best in Class, Better Together," illustrated how best-in-class circuit and field-simulation technologies from Ansoft combine in a dynamically linked design environment to enable 10x improvements in RF design complexity and design time.

HFSS was widely acclaimed by customers for delivering practical value. "Thank you Ansoft for such a wonderful tool as HFSS," said Guo Chen, of Hughes Network Systems, during his presentation on the design of a satellite antenna feed network for the DIRECWAY® system. Other attendees concur, with the following companies also sharing their design successes at this year's event:

Intel

Motorola

Hughes Network Systems

Hewlett-Packard

NASA

Freescale Semiconductor

Amphenol RF

Sarnoff Corporation

Cushcraft Corporation

Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC)
