Hamilton Sundstrand Aerospace Turns to Centric Software for Product Lifecycle and Innovation Management
Centric Software, Inc . announced that Hamilton Sundstrand Aerospace, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, has expanded its use of Centric's solution to more than 3,000 users around the globe. The solution is being used in functional areas including engineering, contracts and purchasing and by external constituencies such as suppliers and customers.
Key challenges facing Hamilton Sundstrand Aerospace include:
• Development of complex systems that require flexible collaboration of many people located in different regions of the world, using documents authored by multiple CAD modelers, Microsoft Office, and other document systems.
• Program management with large customers in an industry that requires rigorous security and attention to safety.
• Synchronizing different product introduction processes for teams working on these complex programs, spanning multiple distinct companies.
Centric's Open PLM approach is attractive to global manufacturers like Hamilton Sundstrand because Centric Software's solution integrates office documents, MCAD, ECAD, CAE, PDM and more, into their common environment, leveraging enterprise wide content and existing IT infrastructure investments.
