TORNADO Technologies Announces New German Reseller Partner KIWI Software Vertrieb GmbH
TORNADO Technologies, Inc., a developer of collaborative 3D visualization and communication software for AEC, process plant and industrial manufacturing enterprises, announced the signing of KIWI Software Vertrieb GmbH as a strategic value-added-reseller (VAR) partner. KIWI Software Vertrieb is the exclusive distributor of ProSteel 3D and a supplier of engineering IT solutions in Germany for the structural design and steel construction industries. Under the agreement, KIWI Software Vertrieb will sell and support TORNADO's complete range of collaboration tools, offering productivity gains and shorter, more reliable design-review in the structural steel construction process. A German version of AEC|VIZT, TORNADO's standalone 3D visualization software, is available immediately and allows users of AutoCAD® based design tools, such as ProSteel 3D, and persons without AutoCAD alike, to share 3D design content with clients, partners, suppliers, and 3 rd party construction professionals.

TORNADO's line of collaborative 3D visualization and communication products includes AEC|VIZ for standalone users on any PC who need to communicate by e-mail, and Web-based applications VIZ|PublisherT and Web|VIZ SuiteT for sharing 3D design content and collaborating over an intranet/extranet. The agility with which 3D information can be visualized and annotated is due to TORNADO's highly compressed and intelligent 3D file format called .VIZ. The TORNADO .VIZ file format allows collaborative information, such as annotations, 3D views and animations to be securely exchanged in both offline and online workflows. With multi-format support, TORNADO's products provide a uniform interface for various 3D data sources, including Intergraph® PDST and laser scanned data.
Among the unique functionalities included in AEC|VIZ is the ability to generate a Preview Package directly from the intuitive interface, whether using AEC|VIZ independently or from within a live AutoCAD session. The Package feature allows a 3D model to be securely encapsulated in a standalone 3D viewer, called AEC|VIZ Preview, which can be freely distributed for instant and seamless 3D viewing by the recipient - no software license or installation required.
