Autodesk Certifies CFdesign v7 Integration with Inventor 10
Blue Ridge Numerics announced that Autodesk has certified CFdesign®, the preeminent Upfront CFD solution, as an integrated simulation tool for Autodesk Inventor® 10.
"Companies derive tremendous value when fluid flow and heat transfer issues are proactively addressed during the early design stages and within a 3D modeling environment," stated Blue Ridge Numerics president, Ed Williams. "Autodesk Inventor 10 and CFdesign v7 create an excellent digital prototyping platform that is ideally suited for design engineers and multi-tasking staff that want CFD to be an on-demand tool not a career path."
On average, engineering groups using CFdesign are reducing the time to develop, test, and prove new products by 70%. Customers also report they are cutting costs for materials and outside services by 65%.
Fluid Flow Capabilities include:
Internal & External
Laminar & Turbulent
Incompressible, Compressible
Steady State, Transient, and Two-phase
Turbo machinery, Rotating & Translating Motion
Heat Transfer Capabilities include:
Conduction
Convection (natural, mixed, forced)
Conjugate (simultaneous conduction and convection)
Radiation
Resistive (Joule)
Blue Ridge Numerics puts comprehensive fluid flow and heat transfer simulation upfront in the product development process where it creates tremendous value for small, medium, and large companies around the world.
