Raytheon's ELCAN Optical Technologies Selects SofTech's ProductCenter PLM
SofTech, Inc . announced that its ProductCenterT PLM (product lifecycle management) solution was selected by ELCAN Optical Technologies®, part of The Raytheon Company, and leading provider of precision optical and electronic solutions for industrial, medical, defense and commercial customers.
ELCAN selected ProductCenter PLM after the successful completion of a pilot program that involved migrating extensive legacy data from the company's older Metaphase data management solution to ProductCenter. With competing PLM solution providers set to charge high service and consulting fees for the migration of this data to their software, SofTech implemented its ProductCenter PLM solution and completed the data migration on budget in just two weeks. The success of the pilot again clearly demonstrates ProductCenter's ease of implementation and ability to jumpstart business benefit and return on investment.
"What we liked and what was proven in the pilot program was that ProductCenter was easily adapted to the way we do business and not the other way around," states Gunter Schmidt, manager of Quality Control at ELCAN. "We are impressed with the software's capabilities and performance but also SofTech's knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail. It was an impressive performance to complete the pilot and data migration so quickly, accurately, and cost efficiently."
