Award-Winning Powerboat Manufacturer Achieves Positive Return on Investment in Just Two Weeks with Switch to Alibre Design
Tigé Boats ( http://www.tige.com ), an award-winning Texas manufacturer of ski and wakeboard boats, switched to Alibre Design 3D mechanical CAD software and achieved positive return on investment in just two weeks.
Caleb Fulks, a design engineer with prior 3D solid modeling experience, recommended Alibre Design over another popular mid-range solid modeler based on three criteria: the short learning curve, the speed at which he was able to generate designs for Tigé, and the affordable price. In fact, Tigé was able to purchase two seats of Alibre Design for less than the price of one seat of the other software.
In two weeks with Alibre Design, the engineering team designed two new fuel tanks, new instrument gauges, and a new wiring harness.
"We achieved a positive ROI on the first fuel tank we designed," said Curt Conway, manufacturing engineer at Tige. "Alibre Design made Tigé's full transition to 3D modeling a painless one. The cost of one Alibre Design seat was the same price we would have paid to have someone else manufacture a model of our fuel tank."
