MachineWorksT Latest Release Is Now Available

MachineWorks Ltd, global supplier of a simulation and verification toolkit for software and machine tools OEMs, has announced the release of its latest version, MachineWorksT v6.2.

The most noticeable advances in the new version are the further development of OpenGL rendering and the instant detection of gouges during simulation.

Some of the v6.2 OpenGL features such as the new texture image manipulation facility come as a standard. Users will appreciate smoother quality of texture image and shadows.

Version 6.2 will also include an option for advanced OpenGL rendering features such as metallic effect rendering, mirror effect rendering and multiple texture application to a surface. "The industry appears extremely interested in advanced rendering features; they create a realistic look and provide great graphics", comments Mike Nicholson, International Business Manager.

From the analysis side, problems can now be detected "on-the-fly". Users can check for gouges during the simulation rather than having to wait until the end for a status report. What's more, the results of the check are highly accurate as it is implemented using an analytical tool representation. Accuracy has always been paramount to MachineWorks core technology.

Other enhancements include the simulation of fixtures for all engines, the ability to save and restore the stock at any point in a machining session, the simplification of tool geometry and, the creation of profiles from polygonal solids just to mention a few.

The capabilities of this release will bring major advances to existing users and MachineWorks Support will be on hand to help customers enhance their solutions.
