Accept Software Corporation Announces New Accept Planner 3 Release

Accept Software Corporation , a provider of enterprise product planning applications for high-tech product organizations, announced the latest release of its Accept Planner 3 product planning suite.

Accept Planner 3 provides a complete system for managing portfolio and product planning-uniting the people, processes and data necessary to consistently plan and launch winning products. Companies using Accept Planner 3 are able to overcome increasing product, market and operational complexity while removing uncertainty surrounding critical product decisions.

In this new release (AP3.1), Accept Software further extends its leadership position in product and portfolio planning with many new capabilities, including the ability to:

•  Capture product sales projections and see how portfolio and product planning decisions impact these projections and overall market share

•  Perform resource capacity planning to easily identify resource shortfalls and avoid/resolve "pipeline gridlock" that threatens the ability to successfully hit market windows

•  Manage inter-product schedule dependencies to assess the impact of accelerating or decelerating product plans and better manage platform development

"What previously took weeks to collect and analyze data using spreadsheets, only to find data was often incomplete, can now be done in a matter of a couple of hours", said Robert Todd, Senior Principal Product Strategy at Convergys Corporation. "The value of this management information and the ability to meaningfully assess and understand alternatives is invaluable for any agile company."

"Our customers are solving very real and increasingly complex product planning challenges with Accept Planner 3", commented James Davies, President and CEO of Accept Software. "This new release continues our commitment to give them the ability to make informed decisions, whether it is understanding the implications of changing the scope of a product release plan on the one hand, or re-establishing a long-range portfolio of record to reflect a strategic redirection on the other."
