Intergraph Apex Shanghai Keynoters Bring Value, Variety To Conference

Intergraph Corporation announced that Bjorn Haugland of Det Norkse Veritas, a leading ship classification society, has joined the keynote lineup at the APEX Shanghai client conference. An executive of the DNV Maritime Development Centre in China, Haugland will address the maritime market outlook, discuss the increasing need for transparency in the shipping industry and explore classification society IT and software directions. The event is scheduled July 11-13 at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai, China.

At the keynote podium in Shanghai, Haugland joins Robert A. McNamara, senior group president, Fluor Corporation; William "Bill" Poirier, vice president, Nuclear Power Plants China, Westinghouse Electric Company; and Maurice Tayeh, senior vice president and chief information officer, Technip. Each addresses crucial business and technology issues facing the process, power and marine industries. Intergraph Process, Power & Marine keynote presenters include Gerhard Sallinger, president, and Kevin Stanley, senior vice president, Americas & Asia-Pacific Business Unit.

Keynotes Cover Crucial Issues, Provide Perspectives

Robert A. McNamara, senior group president, Fluor Corporation, discusses the increasing risks to engineering contractors as global projects continue to grow in size and complexity. McNamara will discuss Fluor's experience, including the role of technology in mitigating risk. McNamara is responsible for the company's operations in China and leads strategic planning, project execution services and other key company activities.

Bill Poirier, vice president, Nuclear Power Plants China, Westinghouse Electric Company and project director of the Westinghouse AP-1000 Consortium in China, draws from his extensive industry and international experience in his keynote. Poirier previously served as president of Westinghouse Electrique France.

Maurice Tayeh, senior vice president and chief information officer, Technip, shares project execution best practices including multi-center engineering and automated, integrated work processes. Tayeh has more than 20 years of international experience; his primary responsibilities include the company's IT strategy and business process re-engineering.
