Actify Expands 2D Importer Offering; 2D Importers for Catia V5 and Unigraphics Data Now Available
Actify Inc. announced that the company has expanded its 2D importer coverage with two major 2D CAD formats; Catia V5 and Unigraphics. Responding to large customer demand, the development of these 2D importers offers additional value to customers working with both 2D and 3D design data.
"We consistently endeavor to provide our customers access to the most important major CAD formats that they use on the market," said Randy Ochs, President and CEO of Actify. "While the marketplace is making a shift towards working in a 3D-only environment, the prevalence and importance of 2D data has not lessened and, in some cases, has even increased as a natural outflow of 3D data. Actify's release of support for 2D data from Catia V5 and Unigraphics rounds out our current 2D support for all major CAD systems."
The Actify SpinFire Professional product line is designed to enable easy and secure access, communication and distribution of multiple 2D/3D CAD file formats, and related design documents, throughout global enterprises and worldwide supply chains, without requiring access to native CAD systems. This allows for paperless distribution of complex design data so companies will realize cost savings and productivity gains in product design, procurement, quoting and estimation, manufacturing, sales, marketing and support.
Actify is adding this 2D functionality directly into the existing 3D importers for Catia V5 and Unigraphics. Current users of the 3D importers, who are in maintenance, can upgrade to the enhanced 2D/3D importers for a 3 month promotional price of US$99.00.
