UGS Appoints Chuck Yuan as Vice President of China Operations

UGS announced the appointment of Chuck Yuan as vice president of China operations.

In his new role, Yuan will be responsible for managing all sales, support and services for China and Hong Kong.   He will be based in Shanghai and report to Hans-Kurt Lübberstedt, executive vice president of Asia Pacific.

Yuan has over 10 years' consulting and business management experience. He joined Price Waterhouse (which later became PricewaterhouseCooper known as PwC) in its management consulting business in 1994 as a principal and was promoted multiple times to partner and country leader for PwC Consulting in China until it was acquired by IBM in 2002. Yuan built on his experience at PwC to become service executive for Supply Chain Services, Business Consulting Service of IBM for Greater China. In the course of his professional career Yuan has also been involved in the definition and development of marketing strategy. Prior to joining PwC and IBM, Yuan had acquired extensive sales expertise.

A Shanghai native, Yuan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Science from Fudan University in Shanghai and also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, US, where he was also a teaching fellow.
