Magma and Cadence Present Web Seminar on ''Accurate Timing and Delay Calculation with ECSM''

Who :         Magma® Design Automation Inc. announced that Magma and Cadence Design Systems will provide a technical web seminar on the emerging ECSM (Effective Current Source Model) standard and the growing support for this modeling format to address designers' timing and signal integrity challenges at 90 nanometers and more advanced processes.

What :        Web seminar on "Accurate Timing and Delay Calculation with ECSM."

When/Where : April 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. PDT. Participate in the web seminar via the Internet at the link below.

Speakers:    Guruprasad Rao, software architect for Characterization Products, Magma's Silicon Correlation Division, and Rahul Deokar, senior product marketing manager, Timing and Signal Integrity, Cadence Design Systems.

Low-power designs at 90 nanometers have introduced new challenges for timing and delay calculation. Designs with lower supply voltages, voltage islands and level shifters save power but increase sensitivity to IR drop and signal integrity. The traditional delay model is nearing the end of its evolution. Adopting leading-edge delay models such as ECSM is vital to help design teams maintain timing predictability.
