Kubotek USA Introduces 'Entrepreneurs' Corner'

Kubotek USA opened a new section on its main Website ( http://www.kubotekusa.com/ ) to focus on the small businesses and individuals who use the company's design and manufacturing software, KeyCreator (formerly CADKEY). The Entrepreneur's Corner ( http://www.kubotekusa.com/coolstuff ) is designed to showcase the contributions that individual engineers and product developers, and entrepreneurs make to our daily lives. Kubotek invites its customers to submit their own products to the site and will regularly feature new stories about how the "little guy" can trump the huge conglomerates

.

"While many large, name-brand manufacturers, major aerospace and automotive companies for example, use KeyCreator, the flexibility and ease-of- use of the product make it particularly well suited as the primary design tool of the small shop," said Bob Bean, COO, Kubotek USA. "The Entrepreneur's Corner gives us the ability to recognize and support this important group of customers, the job shops, inventors and small businesses who are creating the next generation of innovative designs and products.

Bean continued, "We are very committed to the small business community and wanted to be able to give something back. This Website is a great opportunity for us to reach out to that community and help them share what they are doing."

Among the first entrepreneurs to be featured on the site are Bill Webber of Webber Marine and Jim O'Brien of O'Brien Engineering. Webber is a commercial salmon fisherman but during the off season is a high-end boat builder. O'Brien's company takes raw ideas from inventors and converts them into finished products. Both use KeyCreator as their primary design tool.

O'Brien talks about how they use KeyCreator. "KeyCreator is the only tool we use all the time; we lease IDEAS when we need it occasionally; we have to use SDRC for Ford projects; but since 1992, KeyCreator has been our design tool of choice."

"In a small community like Cordova (Alaska), a company's reputation for quality is paramount, so we were very thorough when it was time to select a CAD tool," stated Webber. "We found that KeyCreator offered the power to build large vessels, the flexibility to integrate with other CAD tools and, most importantly, offered a way to deliver the quality workmanship that our customers demand. We were fortunate enough to find all of that in one tool."

The KeyCreator creation engineering product line includes multidimensional design and drafting, NC programming and reverse engineering capabilities. The expanding product line features the company's geometry-based foundation with localized feature editing and sophisticated deformation techniques. These capabilities are particularly useful for design teams working with advanced designs of solid models because KeyCreator blends surface, solids and wireframe modeling, allowing easy modification and editing functionality.
