Sequence Signs D'gipro as India Distributor

Sequence Design has named D'gipro Design Automation & Marketing Pvt. Ltd. its distributor in India. Under the terms of the agreement, D'gipro will provide sales and support for Sequence's complete line of chip-design software for power-aware SoC designs from RTL power analysis and optimization, to concurrent analysis and optimization of timing, signal-integrity, dynamic voltage-drop, and leakage power at the physical level.

Founded in 1987, D'gipro is one of the country's top EDA suppliers for ASIC, FPGA, and system-level design tools. D'gipro is headquartered in India's high-tech hub of Bangalore, with additional offices in New Delhi and Hyderabad. Its prominence in design circles is exemplified by D'gipro's VLSI design center in Bangalore which has trained more than 1,000 VLSI engineers for leading design houses such as STMicroelectronics, TI-India, Philips India, IBM, and Broadcom among others.

In the past five years, Sequence has invested Rs. 20 Crores (over $4.5 million) in its India-based R&D operations. The company has a growing customer base of multinational semiconductor companies in India, particularly in Bangalore's technology-rich environment, and is in the process of expanding its "Center of Excellence" in Noida's new Logix Techno Park. In addition, the company launched its "Made in India" initiative in February 2005 and is planning to implement a new educational and advanced research program with leading Indian universities in mid-2005.
