Arbortext User Group International Offers New One Day Executive Track on Enterprise Publishing

Arbortext announced it is offering a one day executive track during its 10th annual user group conference. Designed for the time-constrained executive, this Wednesday-only track will help this group better understand the impact that enterprise publishing can have on their organizations.

Companies that publish large amounts of information, such as technical manuals, pharmaceutical product information, legal information and software documentation will gather at Disney's Contemporary Resort, May 18-20, 2005 in Orlando, Florida to discuss strategies to streamline and automate their publishing processes.

Executives choosing to spend Wednesday, May 18 at the Arbortext User Group International can expect the following:

•  Ray Schiavone, President and CEO, Arbortext. Mr. Schiavone will kick off the conference sharing the company's vision about enterprise publishing. He will explain where the market is going and what Arbortext is doing to lead the way.

•  Christopher Lee, Director of G/NL Worldwide Regulatory Operations, Pfizer. Mr. Lee will discuss current regulatory information management challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry and how XML can be used to move the industry away from point solutions to a strategic information backbone. Pfizer will highlight how they are setting the pace for introducing new best practices and streamlining the authoring and publishing process.

•  PG Bartlett, Vice President Product Marketing, Arbortext. Mr. Bartlett will define the primary characteristics of enterprise publishing, explore the key business drivers, discuss the principal benefits that an enterprise publishing system delivers, and list the critical requirements and components of a solution.

•  Joshua Duhl, Senior Analyst, IDC. Mr. Duhl will discuss the qualitative and quantitative benefits of enterprise publishing and review its adoption plans with industry-specific variations.

•  Eric Severson, Flatirons Solutions. Mr. Severson will discuss how to increase the chance of a successful implementation of an enterprise publishing system by reviewing key strategic and tactical lessons learned from many previous projects.

•  JoAnn Hackos, President, Comtech Services. Ms. Hackos will discuss how to introduce change into an organization by using more emotionally charged tactics that promote visualization and succeed where analytical arguments fail.
