Fiat Group Extends Worldwide Corporate Agreement With MSC.Software to Improve Product Development With SimOffice and MSC.MasterKey

MSC.Software Corp . announced that Turin, Italy-based Fiat Group has signed a three-year renewal of their worldwide corporate agreement with MSC.Software. With this corporate agreement, Fiat companies including FIAT Auto, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Centro Ricerche Fiat, COMAU, IVECO, Case New Holland, Irisbus, ELASIS and Magneti Marelli will extend and promote the use of MSC.Software products in all of their product line engineering centers, which includes compact cars, sports cars, Formula 1 racing cars, trucks, buses and automotive components. Fiat's investment includes all of the products within MSC.Software's SimOffice software portfolio and is enabled through the MSC.MasterKey Licensing System, which gives Fiat engineers flexible access to MSC.Software's powerful simulation software portfolio.

"We are very pleased that FIAT has chosen to expand their relationship with us and to take advantage of the MSC.MasterKey Licensing system as a vehicle to employ the SimOffice product line."

Fiat is a huge industrial Group with more than one hundred years' experience in the motor vehicle field, designing, manufacturing and marketing cars, trucks, tractors, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, motor vehicle engines and components, and production systems.

The Group's manufacturing and service activities are carried out by Operating Sectors. The three major ones, which account for 70 percent of turnover, are Fiat Auto (cars), CNH Global (agricultural and construction machinery) and Iveco (commercial vehicles). In addition to the latter, the Ferrari and Maserati Group (luxury sports cars), Magneti Marelli (components), Comau (production systems), Teksid (metallurgical products), Business Solutions (services) and Itedi (publishing and communication).
