gedas Unveils Global SAP Solution for the Manufacturing Industry
gedas announced preconfigured SAP solutions for the automotive industry. The new global solution, gExpress for Suppliers, will allow gedas to provide rapid implementation services for automotive suppliers and companies requiring a discrete manufacturing solution. Capable of being deployed by gedas in any country, gExpress for Suppliers was developed by gedas consultants from the US, Spain and Germany to increase the potential for productivity and information flow in client organizations.
"Our clients are looking for pre-configured global solutions that provide a template approach to globalizing their processes and systems," explained Doug Maulbetsch, Executive Director of Automotive & ERP Solutions.
gExpress for Suppliers includes functionality for Sales & Distribution, Inventory Management, Production Planning, Purchasing and Financials. "Over the next six months, gedas will globally rollout additional pre-configured solutions," said Henriette Douglas, Director of SAP Solutions. Those solutions include Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, Project Systems, Human Capital Management, cProjects, functionality with APQP and PPAP.
Deploying a pre-configured solution allows a company to improve business processes in a shorter timeframe, thereby realizing a quicker ROI. gExpress for Suppliers is an optimized ERP solution, which offers an integrated solution for managing business-critical processes associated to supply, demand, production and finance. It is compliant with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) standards and offers EDI, XML and barcode label printing functionality.
