New Right Hemisphere Software Converts SDRC I-DEAS CAD Files for Downstream 3D Publishing

Expanding its software porfolio further, Right Hemisphere® released its SDRC I-DEAS Module. Available next month, this new software works with Right Hemisphere's core Deep ServerT enterprise or Deep ExplorationT client software to transform I-DEAS 3D computer-aided design (CAD) files into lightweight, optimized graphical models ready for use in downstream publishing applications. I-DEAS is a CAD application acquired by UGS from SDRC in 2001 and used today by large manufacturers such as Nissan and Ford Motor Company.

With the SDRC I-DEAS Module added to the Right Hemisphere software suite, users can automatically generate technical illustrations, add interactivity, automatically generate exploded view animations, and create photorealistic images using the original I-DEAS 3D model and export it to a wide variety of 2D formats, 3D formats and publishing environments, including Adobe® Acrobat® and Microsoft® Office® applications.

Right Hemisphere's enterprise graphics management software provides support for over 120 different types of 2D and 3D data files. It includes integration with other native CAD formats such as Pro/ENGINEER®, CATIA®, SolidWorks®, and Unigraphics®, as well as a range of other medical, scientific, and architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) application formats. With Right Hemisphere's software development kit, customers can also write support for virtually any additional file format they need.

Right Hemisphere's new SDRC I-DEAS Module is available this month. Customers may obtain trial versions or purchase Right Hemisphere software from the company's Web site .   To locate a Right Hemisphere reseller in your region, please go to http://www.righthemisphere.com/store/index.php .
