Leading Lab Furniture Provider CampbellRhea Chooses RuleStream to Meet Increased Custom Product Manufacturing Capacity

RuleStream Corporation announced that CampbellRhea has licensed RuleStream's RPM solutions to help the company meet its growing custom product sales targets. CampbellRhea is a division of Mohon International.

RuleStream's solution will automate CampbellRhea's custom product sales, design and engineering tasks, allowing these processes to keep pace with the company's expanding manufacturing capacity.

CampbellRhea's higher production capacity came about through its success in implementing lean manufacturing throughout the company. Implementing RPM was a logical next step, according to company executives.

"We have been looking for a solution to align the process of estimating, designing, and engineering new orders," said Richard McLeod, president of Mohon International. "The RuleStream system will help us create a much more streamlined flow of order information, from bidding all the way through to the shop floor. It will also enable the ultimate payoff for our investment in lean manufacturing technology."

"Scaling CampbellRhea's order processing departments on the front end to match the back end capacity without some kind of automation would have been cost-prohibitive," said David Vredenburgh, RuleStream's chief executive officer. "RuleStream's RPM solution will allow CampbellRhea to respond to custom design RFPs and orders more quickly and accurately without staffing up, enabling the company to attain both revenue and net profit growth targets."

CampbellRhea expects to see both direct and indirect cost benefits from its investment in RPM technology. The company, well known for its high quality custom laboratory designs, will be able to manage costs by minimizing the manual work surrounding engineering design and the creation of submittal drawings, work orders and manufacturing codes.

The RuleStream RPM solution will also help eliminate shop floor errors through faster, more consistently managed orders, and minimize the occurrence and impact of engineering and manufacturing change requests.

By being able to respond more quickly and accurately to requests for proposals (RFPs), CampbellRhea will also benefit from an increased sales win rate.

CampbellRhea's RuleStream engagement also resulted in their becoming a new national account for SolidWorks Corporation. RuleStream's integration with SolidWorks® 3D mechanical design software will allow CampbellRhea to take full advantage of an integrated user environment that delivers 3D representations of room layouts and 2D drawing outputs within RuleStream's user interface.

SolidWorks 2005's close integration with RuleStream's RPM environment was an important aspect inCampbellRhea's decision to adopt SolidWorks.
