PTC Presents its PLM Solutions at the 46th International Paris Air Show
PTC announced its participation at the 2005 Paris Air Show, the leading international event for the aviation, aeronautics and space industries, taking place at Le Bourget Airport, France, from June 13-19, 2005. PTC provides product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions designed to help aerospace and defense manufacturers meet industry challenges such as collaborative supply networks, which are rapidly becoming more global. The company offers a complete Product Development System (PDS) for A&D manufacturers that provides a single, digital environment for authoring, collaboration and management of product and program information. At the Paris Air Show the latest updates and developments will be presented.
• PTC Windchill® Aerospace & Defense Module and Windchill® PDMLink-With the addition of the Windchill Aerospace & Defense Module to Windchill PDMLink, PTC fuses years of experience and best practices development with market leading A&D companies into a single solution. Companies such as BAE SYSTEMS, ITT, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and United Defense are the first adopters of this new solution for contract deliverables management and industry-standard product configuration management.
PTC has a long record of accomplishment in supporting large, complex aerospace & defense production programs and operations. All of the "Big 5" OEM contractors in the U.S. are heavy users of PTC products. In total, over 300 A&D establishments comprising organizations from the government, aerospace, defense and shipbuilding sectors are PTC customers. In fact, PTC has 18 out of the top 20 global A&D companies as customers.
• Airbus A380-A key element of the Airbus Concurrent Engineering (ACE) program is Windchill®, which performs the complex Configuration Management required for the A380 program. The Windchill based "ACE Common Repository" is the repository for A380 Configurations and Product Structures, whilst the Windchill "ACE System View" provides the management of A380 Equipments. Today more than 6,000 Airbus employees across Europe are using these Windchill systems for the A380 across Europe, and Windchill is beginning to be deployed across the Airbus supply chain.
