TopSolid Present at MoldMaking Expo

TopSolid'Mold 2005, along with the rest of the TopSolid line of products will be presented at the MoldMaking Expo (Rosemont, Illinois), April 19-21, at booth # 505.

TopSolid'Mold is a fully integrated CAD module designed to meet the highly specialized needs of mold makers and tool & die specialists. It enables the calculation of the shrinkage factor, analysis of undercuts, calculation of the parting line and surface of the joint, automatic creation and definition of the core block and cavity, implementation of the standard carcass, systems of injection and ejection and analysis of the cooling system. With TopSolid'Mold specific mold drafts (inject and eject views, specific dimensions ...) are easily accessible.

TopSolid'Mold offers a comprehensive dedicated solution for mold makers while maintaining a complete integration with the rest of the TopSolid CAD/CAM solution - notably TopSolid'Electrode for electrode design; TopSolid'Cam for milling and TopSolid'Wire for wire EDM.

The latest release of TopSolid's mold making CAD software, TopSolid'Mold 2005, has made a big impact on mold makers worldwide.

With many new improved functions TopSolid'Mold 2005 appeals particularly to mold makers wishing to target high precision markets. 3 key functionalities of TopSolid'Mold 2005 are:

•  Part Update Management - TopSolid'Mold 2005 incorporates the addition of new tools to help the user manage model changes

•  Lifter Sub-System-The addition of a lifter sub-system that lifts and pushes simultaneously to eject the part is now a feature of TopSolid'Mold 2005.

•  Hot Runners-The use of hot runners is an important innovation in TopSolid'Mold 2005. This allows the melted plastic to flow directly into the mould from the hot runner. Thus, there is no wasted left over plastic material resulting from the melted plastic being poured through the stalk.

The more modern, user-friendly ergonomy of TopSolid'Mold 2005 together with the addition of dialog boxes to guide operators throughout the mold making process are important improvements in this new version.
