Prawel to Keynote First International CAD Interoperability Conference
Industry consultant and author David Prawel, founder and president of Longview Advisors Inc., will be keynote speaker at CAD Data Exchange: Productivity Through Interoperability. The conference will be held on May 11, 2005 in Dearborn, Michigan. Topics presented by speakers from diverse industries will include interoperability best practices, techniques and technologies, data translation, CAD migration strategies, supplier portals, PDM/PLM integration, quality certification, supply chain integration, international standards activities, and data exchange automation strategies.
As products are designed, developed and manufactured, efficient global communication of product data is a key element in speeding products to market and maintaining competitiveness. Sharing CAD data is one of the most important processes in modern manufacturing. However, problems in CAD data exchange plague industry, presenting one of the most formidable impediments to productivity and time to market in manufacturing today.
Prawel's keynote, Cornerstones of Innovation, will discuss the impact of interoperability on global collaboration, customer value creation, competitiveness and innovation. He will discuss key business drivers in manufacturing, and the core elements of innovation in a global manufacturing enterprise. He will also explore the relationships between innovation and communication, along with practical applications, and improving excellence in innovation.
