Engineous Software to Open Process Integration Center in Detroit
Engineous Software announced that they will open in April, a Process Integration center in their Detroit, Michinga office. The center will serve as a focal point for customers, as well as hardware and software partners, to prototype and demonstrate how design improve efficiency and product quality using existing software and hardware portfolios and best practices.
"We have had tremendous interest from both technology providers as well as our customers for the center," said Dr. Mike Sheh, Engineous' Vice President of Automotive. "Until now the solutions we have been providing for our clients were usually described using presentations and simple demonstrations. Now we have a realistic environment that will allow us to run many integrated processes at the same time-in the types of environments our customers are using."
The backbone of the Process Integration Center consists of Engineous' iSIGHT and FIPER technologies, the mainstream process integration and design optimization tools used in the manufacturing industry. Major hardware and software vendors who have contributed their technologies to help complete the facility support the center. It has a software suite of commonly used CAD/CAM/CAE and 1D design codes as well as PDM/PLM systems. The center also has a heterogeneous computing network that mirrors customers' production environments on a smaller scale.
"We expect the opening of the Process Integration Center in Detroit to aid in bringing both our partners' technologies and our own solutions to the manufacturing industry faster and more cost effectively. Customers will get a hands-on understanding of the benefits of design process integration and how it will aid them in developing better products, faster," said Janet C. Wylie, CEO & President of Engineous. "The facility will also be used as a demonstration and training center for Engineous solutions, and will provide application-specific services to customers dealing with complex design problems."
The Process Integration Center will be available for customer and partner visits and demonstrations during Engineous Software's 2005 International Symposium and Workshop, scheduled for October 10-12, 2005 in Novi, Michigan, where over 300 attendees are expected.
