Federation Joins PDES, Inc.
Federation Inc. has joined PDES Inc., a government/industry consortium committed to accelerating the development and implementation of ISO 10303, commonly known as STEP. STEP is the international standard for data exchange. Federation is involved in a pilot project that will use STEP AP214 and Part 28 ed2 to share and synchronize product data between a government customer and a defense contractor using disparate PLM systems.
As a marketplace leader, Federation will combine its proven Federation software and commercial off-the-shelf PLM adapters with STEP standards. This will give companies a mult-enterprise collaboration capability that will allow them to effectively exchange product content with their worldwide partners, customers and suppliers.
