Sensus Metering Systems Selects Centric Software For Portfolio and Process Innovation-Centric to Also Manage Six Sigma Programs Across the Enterprise
Centric Software, Inc ., announced that Sensus Metering Systems, a global manufacturer of water, electric and gas metering systems, has selected its Open PLMT solution for portfolio and process innovation as well as management of Six Sigma programs across the enterprise.
Sensus required a PLM solution that would enable collaboration among global engineering teams and allow them to rapidly shift product development efforts in order to further penetrate new markets. They also needed to ensure that they had the right product mix with appropriate time to revenue metrics in their portfolio. Finally, they wanted to develop Product Centers of Excellence that will serve as the central repository for intellectual property developed during the course of product development.
Centric's Open PLM solution will help Sensus achieve these objectives by addressing the specific needs of executives, managers and team members. Executives can now conduct strategic analysis and scenario evaluations critical to making product and project selection decisions. Project managers can track activities, deliverables and drive their product development process. Team members can share ideas and review them in a visual, collaborative environment. They also have a single source they can tap into for all information related to their tasks.
Centric's Open PLM approach is attractive to global manufacturers like Sensus because it can integrate office documents, MCAD, CAE, ERP and more into their solution, leveraging enterprise wide content and existing IT infrastructure investments. Additionally, the software provides Sensus with the flexibility to continually modify and configure the solution for specific business operations.
