Bentley Acquires Leading Italian Civil Solution Provider Moss Italia
At a gathering of more than 2,000 attendees, Bentley Systems, Incorporated announced that it has acquired Moss Italia Srl, a leading civil engineering solution provider and Bentley channel partner with offices in Milan and Rome. The company, in which Bentley already held a minority interest, has been serving the civil engineering market for ten years, adapting software solutions to the needs of some 200 user organizations in the region.
"Bentley and Moss Italia have worked closely together for many years in the road and rail industry segments throughout Italy," said Ted Lamboo, Bentley senior vice president, International Operating Unit. "By combining Bentley technologies with Moss Italia's long-time expertise in the Italian civil market, we further strengthen our ability to support our largest users in this region."
Through the acquisition, all Moss Italia employees immediately become employees of Bentley Systems Italia. Claudio Colombo, former Moss Italia managing director, sees the acquisition as an opportunity to better serve users with a broader array of solutions. "In joining Bentley," said Colombo, "my colleagues and I are delighted to be able to provide both our long-standing and new users with the most comprehensive AEC solutions available in the Italian market. We are impressed by Bentley's outstanding technology and its commitment to the needs of civil engineers and the other disciplines that serve the AEC and geospatial industries."
As a Bentley channel partner, Moss Italia acquired significant experience in the civil market, focusing on the implementation of Bentley software solutions - from high-level consulting to business processes improvement to customized development, implementation, training, and support.
