CoCreate Joins Forces With Microsoft for Executive Innovation Forum

CoCreate Software, Inc. , a provider of flexible CAD and collaborative PLM software applications, announced its participation in the Microsoft Innovation Forum held in Newcastle, Washington.

Executives gathered at the forum to discuss best-practices for using collaboration to drive product excellence and innovation. Discussion focused on trends in innovation and unlocking potential through collaboration, acting on the innovation imperative and driving innovation with technology. The forum is part of the Program for Collaborative Product Development, an ongoing initiative to help manufacturers improve new product development performance by delivering products faster to market while reducing product development costs.

Over the past 20 years, product lifecycle has been halved every five years. In today's competitive environment it takes innovation to stay on top of the marketplace. Whether a company's products are airplanes, automobiles or consumer packaged goods, business is moving at the speed of rising customer demands. Collaboration is essential to meeting those demands and maintaining product innovation.

"Innovation is today's business imperative. Manufacturers face growing competition from all corners of the world driving the need for products to stand out and offer differentiated value," said William M. Gascoigne, CoCreate CEO. "Collaborative product development plays an important role as companies use an extended design, supply chain and manufacturing partner network to launch new products to market. Collaboration is the way to unlock sources of innovation and harvest new ideas from this network, making the difference needed for a product's success."

CoCreate's OneSpace.net solves the complexities and challenges that product development engineers face when working with cross company or extended teams. Because OneSpace.net is built on the Microsoft platform and leverages the .NET Framework, it offers companies a solution based on familiar Microsoft components. This translates into an easily deployed product that leverages existing IT investments.
