Spatial Announces Commercial Support for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition in Upcoming R15 Release

Spatial Corp., a Dassault Systemes company and provider of 3D components, announced support for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. The platform has been in Beta testing since late 2004 and will be fully supported in conjunction with the upcoming R15 release scheduled for June.

CST GmbH has been Beta testing the latest builds of Spatial products on the platform and have been extremely impressed with the ability of the 3D ACIS Modeler to take full advantage of the advanced operating system. "Spatial has been providing us with regular drops of product on this new OS and the stability and performance we have experienced are amazing," said Dr. Peter Thoma, CST. "We have already demonstrated the software to our customers and there is a growing demand for the commercial support of this technology. We have no doubt that our customers will experience a direct benefit of this increased support."

The new 64-bit OS from Windows provides an excellent growth opportunity for Spatial and provides the ability to better serve the CAE/Analysis market. With a well-established customer-base in this market today, the power and extensibility of the Windows 64-bit OS will allow ACIS-based applications to address the needs of additional customers.

"Spatial has a large contingent of customers in the CAE/Analysis market that have long depended on our broad support of 64-bit computing platforms," said Ray Bagley, Product Manager, 3D Modeling and Visualization Products, Spatial. "By providing early support for important emergent platforms such as Windows x64, we are demonstrating our commitment to address our customers' changing needs and those of the market."
