IFS Launches Paint, Ink, and Adhesives Industry Advisory Council

As part of its strategic plan to deliver leading solutions to selected industries, IFS has formed an advisory council for the paint, ink, and adhesives industry. Global experts across the industry are members of this council, which held its first meeting in April.

The Paint, Ink and Adhesives Industry Advisory Council will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between industry experts, top IFS customers, and IFS. This cooperation between leading industry players will also ensure that IFS maintains its market-leading position in providing business software for the paint, ink, and adhesives industry.

The advisory council is composed of global experts across the industry, including customer and industry representatives. Founding members include representatives from Jotun, ANI Printing Inks, Becker Acroma, Becker Industrial Coatings, SICPA, Willamette Valley, Akzo Nobel, and Atrion, the world-leading supplier of solutions for material compliance. Anders Lif, IFS' Global Industry Director for Process Industries, is the council's chairperson.

"We think it is very valuable to participate in the Paint, Ink and Adhesives Industry Advisory Council because it gives us a direct channel for influencing the future development of IFS and its partners' solutions," said Richard Skogh, chief information officer of ANI Printing Inks. "It also gives us an opportunity to take part in discussions regarding future directions for our industry."

IFS has over 18 years' experience providing business software for the pulp and paper, metals, chemical, and food and beverage industries. For the chemical industry, IFS offers competitive ERP solutions for midsize global companies, running multiple sites of various sizes. Paint, ink, and adhesives companies specifically benefit from IFS' functionality for batch balancing and recipe management as well as for material compliance through the integration with Atrion software. IFS Applications also includes support for quality management, demand planning, and configure-to-order manufacturing, providing a complete solution for companies in this industry.
