ToolWorx Information Products to Deliver UGS Tecnomatix Solutions; Leading Developer of Automated Manufacturing Data Collection Applications Gains Access to Leading FactoryLink Platform, Expands Market Offerings
ToolWorx Information Products, Inc ., a developer of automated data collection applications, announced a sales partnership with UGS Corp ., a global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services. The partnership allows ToolWorx to offer the FactoryLink® production automation software from UGS' Tecnomatix suite of digital manufacturing solutions. This will expand ToolWorx's host of traceability and error proofing solutions for the digital manufacturing industry.
This sales partnership, part of UGS' partner program, will combine Tecnomatix® FactoryLink with the ToolWorx BridgeT products to provide key benefits to both organizations and their customers including:
• Broader traceability and error proofing solutions
• Expanded usage of FactoryLink in existing accounts in both upgrades and existing applications
• Increased control and visibility for FactoryLink applications
• Enhanced technical support coverage for FactoryLink

"ToolWorx's deep experience in shop floor data collection and analysis using Microsoft-centric tools and technologies fits well with UGS Tecnomatix solutions."
Both FactoryLink-UGS's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) product-and ToolWorx BridgeT utilize many of the same technologies related to traceability and error proofing control, such as Microsoft's SQL database and the .NET development environment.
