Quantapoint Announces Integration of Quantapoint PRISM 3D with Intergraph SmartPlant Review
Quantapoint announced that it has a prototype interface between Intergraph SmartPlant ReviewT and Quantapoint PRISM 3DT. The interface enables Quantapoint's interactive and photo-realistic 3D laser modelsT of actual as-built laser documentationT to be accessed from SmartPlant Review. By combining 3D CAD models and 3D laser models, project teams will be able to compare and validate CAD models, visualize proposed modifications for design and constructability reviews, and identify and correct potential construction interferences. The end result will be more accurate and faster design and review cycles.
According to Robert Christian, Senior Business Development Manager at Intergraph, "Closer integration between our products will provide a number of benefits during project execution, including fewer personnel collecting data in the plant, reduced field trips and decreased design modeling time.
