SofTech at SolidWorks World 2005 with New ProductCenterT PLM 8.4

SofTech, Inc. will showcase its new ProductCenterT PLM 8.4 release at the seventh annual SolidWorks World 2005 Conference, being held from January 30 through February 2, 2005 in Orlando, Florida. In addition, Monarch Hydraulics, a leading producer of fluid power solutions, will present its PLM success with ProductCenterT at the SolidWorks World Certified Partner Theatre on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 5:30pm. Monarch Hydraulic's engineering systems administrator, Brad Fluit, will discuss how the company has utilized ProductCenterT for enterprise-wide collaboration and the resulting benefits, including significant product accuracy and time-to-market improvements.

SofTech will demonstrate the new features and capabilities of ProductCenterT PLM 8.4 and how it can help companies improve data management, stimulate product development team collaboration, and achieve faster product introductions for companies using complex CAD applications such as SolidWorks.

"We are most pleased to showcase ProductCenter 8.4 at SolidWorks World as it is particularly well suited for growing mid-sized companies, like many of those using SolidWorks", states Joe Mullaney, SofTech president. "ProductCenter uniquely delivers core PLM functionality without the costly and lengthy deployment commitment that many companies, particularly those with less financial and IT resources, fear today. Our years of PLM development and implementation experience have enabled us to fine tune our PLM solution for ease of use and to package it for quick out-of-the-box deployment. The result is a strong PLM offering with a true low cost of ownership for our customers that differentiates ProductCenter from other PLM offerings."

Significant to the new ProductCenterT PLM 8.4 release are these enhancements and more:

•  Improved Document Management: ProductCenterT PLM 8.4 offers improved usability enhancements, specifically support for full text retrieval capabilities which allow the user to search the contents of documents to quickly and easily find critical production information.

•  Enhanced CAD Integrations: ProductCenter's CAD integration suite has many new usability enhancements and support for several of the newest CAD solution releases, including SolidWorks 2005, PTC's Pro/Engineer® WildfireT 2, and Autodesk® InventorT 9.

•  Extended Collaboration Support: ProductCenter's AutoVue Integrator has support for Cimmetry's AutoVue 18 and users can take advantage of the advanced digital mockup capabilities for sharing, viewing, and exploring 3D models without need of the original authoring application.

•  Expanded Language Support: The ProductCenter PLM solution is now available and fully localized for Italian. Support for additional languages is planned and the new multi-platform, multi-language product installer streamlines the extension process for faster support of new languages.
