Scaled Composites Selects NEiNastran® Finite Element Analysis Software
Noran Engineering ( http://www.NENastran.com ), a developer of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software, announced that Scaled Composites has added NEiNastran to their portfolio of engineering analysis tools.
Scaled Composites' Matthew Gionta, Chief Engineer, commented on the selection, "We were looking for a modern Nastran interface for our analysis needs. NEiNastran met our criteria for a cost-effective analysis tool and looks like a very good choice. I expect it will work very well for us." Scaled Composites is an aerospace and specialty composites development company located in Mojave, California. Founded in 1982 by Burt Rutan, Scaled has broad experience in air vehicle design, tooling, manufacturing, specialty composite structure design, analysis, fabrication and developmental flight test. Its most recent success was winning the $10 million X-prize for commercial manned space flight of its Space Ship One.
Dave Weinberg, CEO of Noran Engineering, offered, "We are pleased to be associated with innovative and forward looking engineering organizations like Scaled Composites. They help to demonstrate to the engineering analysis community the value and performance NEiNastran can bring to their organizations."
Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi) provides a complete suite of analysis tools for structural, thermal, dynamic, fluid flow, fatigue, and optimization to the aerospace, automotive, maritime, military, medical, and consumer product industries. The core product, NEiNastran, runs on Windows, Linux, and UNIX platforms in both stand-alone and networked configurations. NEi's new product, NEiWorks in SolidWorks, breaks new ground in engineering software, integrating Nastran with CAD and removing long standing barriers between designers and analysts.
