Actify SpinFire Professional 2004v2 Receives 'Designed For Windows XP' Logo Certification

Actify Inc. announced that its SpinFire Professional product line has become Microsoft 'Designed for Windows XP' logo certified, demonstrating compatibility between the operating system and Actify's visualization technology. Products designated as 'Designed for Windows XP' fully meet all functional, technical and consumer requirements, which ensure they run smoothly on Windows XP.

"To ensure that only the highest-quality products bear the 'Designed for Windows XP' logo, we have established stringent product testing guidelines," said Dee Dee Walsh, director, Windows Client Group at Microsoft Corp. "Actify's SpinFire products have passed these tests, demonstrating that they are compatible with the Windows XP operating system."

The 'Designed for Windows XP' logo certification is the most effective way to identify software products that work well with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. To receive 'Designed for Windows XP' logo certification, an application must pass compliance testing according to the 'Designed for Windows XP' application specification. All products that pass the testing are qualified to receive the 'Designed for Windows XP' logo, get listed in the Windows Catalog and are eligible for membership in the Microsoft Partner Program.

"Becoming 'Designed for Windows XP' logo certified demonstrates the quality of our design visualization product line and Actify's commitment to continue to our customers," said Randy Ochs, President and CEO of Actify Inc. "Now, enterprises that are standardizing on Microsoft technologies can rest assured that our SpinFire products have met all of Microsoft's stringent functional and technical standards, ensuring that our product seamlessly integrates with their operating desktop environment."

SpinFire products support files created in any major CAD file format converting them into .3D, which is a world-renowned, compressed and secure CAD visualization file format. This allows manufacturers to use a single software to view, measure, mark-up and share all major 2D and 3D data formats without needing to purchase and maintain seats of a native CAD system. This streamlines the communication process and allows for paperless distribution of complex design data, ultimately increasing productivity and cutting costs.
