Schott Systeme Retains CAD/CAM Pricing From 10 Years Ago
Refraining from annually raising their prices for over 10 years now, Schott Systeme have once again announced that their complete 2D/3D design and machining solution remains under 10,000 euros for 2005.
Also reinforcing their policy of ensuring their customers are profitable, the German based CAD/CAM developer have continued to enforce a 'No Yearly Charge' policy for support and maintenance, in addition to not charging for machine post processors (3 and 3+2 axis milling).
Of interest to those customers purchasing directly over the web, is the offer of free subscription to their e-learning program. With a range of practical exercises already available in English, the user will find themselves actually milling within the first 20 minutes. A wide variety of projects exist from 3D solid modeling through to engraving, but importantly the user has access to new projects as they are developed.
With its headquarters based in Münich, Germany, Schott Systeme GmbH is an independent company since more than 20 years, specializing in the development of CAD/CAM and IT solutions for all sectors of manufacturing including automotive, aerospace, mold tool and general engineering companies.
Its low cost CAD/CAM software Pictures by PC includes design tools for 2D mechanical drafting, graphic design, business graphics, professional font work, 3D solid modeling, 3D surface modeling, photorealistic rendering and model import and repair. Machining tools include 2.5D milling and drilling, 3D surface milling, 3+2 axis multi sided milling and engraving. Additional modules exist for wireEDM, turning and 5 axis simultaneous machining.
