Arena Solutions Rounds Out Management Team With Seasoned Industry Executives

Arena Solutions, Inc. announced the appointment of Pam Kostka as Vice President of Marketing and Jim Young as Vice President of Finance. The expansion of the Arena executive team further deepens the company's already extensive bench of enterprise software industry professionals.

"Pam's marketing leadership and enterprise software expertise will help drive Arena's product and business development, while Jim's extensive background in all areas of financial management and proven accomplishments in high-tech and investment banking will accelerate Arena's success. These two key executive additions mark a significant milestone for Arena's momentum in the PLM market."

Ms. Kostka assumes responsibility for all of Arena's corporate, field and product marketing, and will lead business development efforts to help position the company for its next stage of growth. She brings more than 13 years of experience in marketing enterprise software solutions and business development, specializing in developing new market categories. Most recently, Ms. Kostka was Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Visiline, Inc., a provider of Pricing Optimization solutions delivered to Global 2000 manufacturing and service organizations. Prior to founding Visiline, Ms. Kostka served as Vice President of Product Marketing for North Systems, a provider of on-demand sell-side eCommerce applications. Previously, Ms. Kostka held a variety of executive marketing and strategy positions at Extensity (acquired by GEAC), an early leader in of Workforce Optimization applications, where she grew the product offering from a single application to a suite of applications that generated more than $35 million in revenue and contributed to a highly successful IPO. Ms. Kostka also served as Director of Product Marketing at Connect, Inc. (acquired by Calico), where she pioneered sell-side and buy-side eCommerce applications helping lead the company to a successful IPO.

Ms. Kostka received her MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

At Arena, Mr. Young is responsible for all of the company's financial planning, accounting, human resource and legal activities. He brings more than 12 years of experience in corporate finance and strategy with publicly traded companies and financial services firms. Prior to Arena, he served as the Vice President of Finance and Business Planning at Grand Central Communications, an on-demand integration provider, where he led $43 million in capital-raising efforts. Before joining Grand Central, Mr. Young served in corporate development and marketing strategy roles for Northpoint Communications, which was acquired by AT&T. Previously, he worked in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney and Banc of America Securities.

Mr. Young holds a BA in History from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
