Lucky Seven For Theorem Solutions
Seven has proved to be a lucky number in China for Theorem Solutions, with sales of seven licences of its CATIA V5 to ProductView translator to new customers in the Chinese automotive industry during the past seven weeks.
Since the middle of December, Theorem Solutions has supplied four licences to Chan Gan Automotive, plus single licences to Dongfeng Automotive and two other Chinese automotive companies. All seven translators are now installed, enabling 3D and 2D geometry conversion from CATIA V5 to PTC's ProductView visualization system.
"The orders not only reflect rapid development within the Chinese automotive sector, but also their engineers' practice of specifying the best-in-class solution for specific needs," says Theorem's General Manager, Keith Jeacock. "Chinese motor plants frequently utilize several design, visualization or data management systems from different vendors; with our world leading CADverter products providing fast, accurate and seamless data exchange between the disparate environments.
"These latest implementations reinforce the strong business links we have already established in China with customers such as the aerospace giant, AVIC, and the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. I am therefore confident that demand for our translation products in this important market will continue to grow significantly during the next few years."
