Broad-Based Design and Manufacturing Event Returns to New York; Lineup of Co-Located Shows Includes New Automation Technology Expo

Show organizer Canon Communications has added the Automation Technology Expo (ATX) to its traditional lineup of co-located design, manufacturing, plastics processing, and packaging shows that comprise the largest event of its kind on the East Coast. In addition to ATX, the June 13-15 event in New York's Javits Convention Center consists of Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East, EastPack, PLASTEC East, and Atlantic Design & Manufacturing. 1,500 exhibiting companies and 30,000 buyers are expected to participate.

ATX represents the first time that the East Coast has a single event featuring the latest technological advances in custom automation and assembly, robotics, control software, motors, drives, motion control and more. ASSEMBLY magazine is the show's media sponsor and ATS Automation Tooling Systems is the show's event sponsor.

MD&M East features companies in contract manufacturing, component fabrication, adhesives, electronics, assembly, motion control, testing equipment, IV components, and a host of other categories. Atlantic Design & Manufacturing includes leaders in CAD/CAM/PDM, contract manufacturing, enterprise technology, linear actuators, optical sensing, sensors, and transducers. PLASTEC East covers every aspect of plastics processing, including materials, molds and mold components, primary processing machinery, auxiliary equipment, and contract services.

The expositions are home to 15 product pavilions -Automation Technology, CAD/CAM/PDM, Contract Manufacturing, Cosmetic and Personal Care Packaging, Electronics, Enterprise Technology, Ingredients, Material Handling & Logistics, Medical Electronics, MEDPAK, Packaging, Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Packaging, PrecisionTec, Quality, and U.S. Mold Builders.

New among these is the Quality Pavilion, where attendees can see a full array of testing and inspection products and services including optical and laser inspection equipment, materials testing equipment, quality assurance test equipment and services, product reliability technology, surface measurement, data acquisition/collection devices, validation software, and ISO certification software.

In addition to the expositions, the co-located event will offer a host of conference sessions related to FDA regulations and inspections, preparing to win business in the medical device industry, risk management, software validation, QSR, package validation, quality management systems, process validation, and failure analysis and prevention. Those who register by May 16 will receive reduced fees along with free exhibit hall admission.
