CGTech Selected As Strategic Alliance Partner of the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining

CGTech announced their recent approval as an alliance partner of the strategic defense initiative with the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM).

The NCDMM was established to develop and deliver state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions for the cost-effective and timely manufacturing of precision machined components. CGTech will enhance this effort by incorporating their software capabilities to provide new methods of NC program verification and optimization.

"We're excited to have CGTech join the NCDMM alliance partner team," said Mark Huston, Executive Director. "Our mission is the development of 'Ultimate' manufacturing solutions in support of our DoD customers. Their software will play an integral part in fulfilling that mission."

CGTech Product Marketing Manger Bill Hasenjaeger said, "We appreciate being invited to participate in NCDMM. Over the past few years VERICUT has proven to be a good tool for reducing manufacturing costs while improving quality for our existing users in defense manufacturing. Working with NCDMM will help expose more defense industry manufacturers to the benefits of using VERICUT to improve manufacturing efficiency."

Located in Latrobe, PA, The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining embarked on its mission in 2003 to test and develop related manufacturing and machining processes. The NCDMM has established a group of key alliance partners, each with a significant manufacturing technology expertise directly applied to today's problems associated with advanced material machining. The end goal is to provide defense organizations and their contractors with methods of producing components faster, at lower costs, and of the highest quality. For more information, please visit the NCDMM website at http://www.ncdmm.org .

Headquartered in Irvine, California, CGTech specializes in numerical control (NC/CNC) simulation, verification, optimization, and analysis software technology for manufacturing. VERICUT software simulates CNC machining on a computer in order to detect errors, potential collisions, or areas of inefficiency.
