CADopia Joins Open Design Alliance
CADopia has joined the Open Design Alliance as a Sustaining Member.
"The use of DWGdirect libraries from Open Design Alliance allows us to support AutoCAD drawing files seamlessly," said Surya Sarda, president and CEO of CADopia. "The steady growth in the membership of the Open Design Alliance is an endorsement of the quality of its DWGdirect technology for CAD data interoperability."
"The Alliance is a non-profit industry consortium. Our goal is to provide our members with the tools they need to support important CAD data formats, such as DWG and DGN," said Evan Yares, president of the Open Design Alliance. "CADopia, through the development work they do with IntelliCAD, provides us with valuable feedback that helps us to improve and refine those tools."
As a Sustaining Member of the Open Design Alliance, CADopia is using DWGdirect, the Alliance's advanced object-oriented program library, which provides data compatibility with versions of AutoCAD up to and including the version 2005, and the upcoming version 2006.
CADopia develops and distributes affordable Windows-based CAD software products that provide a high level of compatibility with Autodesk AutoCAD.
CADopia IntelliCAD is a CAD solution for engineers, architects, designers and drafters. It offers a high degree of compatibility with popular CAD systems and supports DWG as its native file format. IntelliCAD can be customized using Lisp, Microsoft VBA, and SDS (Solution Development System).
CADopia IntelliCAD is available in three editions - Standard, Premium, and Professional. An educational version of the product is available for educational institutions.
CADopia IntelliCAD supports advanced features such as floating network licenses, integrated Visual Basic Editor, photorealistic rendering, ACIS solid modeling, raster image editing, and document management.
Founded in 1998, the Open Design Alliance is a non-profit consortium committed to promoting open industry-standards for the exchange of CAD data.
