Hamilton Hall Announced That the Defence Logistics Organisation (DLO) Will Use the LEO Product Lifecycle Management Solution
Hamilton Hall announced that the Defence Logistics Organisation (DLO) has agreed to use the LEO Product Lifecycle Management solution for the in-service support of all the Royal Navy's pumps for the next ten years. The prime contractor will be Optima NNC who will be using LEO to manage the contract to track, repair and maintain an estimated 8,000 pumps. LEO will collect the full lifetime costs, movement history and mod state of every single pump, and support spares profiling and reliability analysis.
According to Tony Davies Projects Director at Optima NNC: "We chose LEO because it gives us the flexibility to manage complex contracts and service levels, and to report on performance and profitability at any time."
Much of LEO's flexibility is due to LEO's workflow modeling tool. All business processes are modeled in the tool. Once set the software is ready to go out of the box. No additional programming is required removing the traditional need for armies of consultants. This reduces the time and cost of implementations.
LEO will also provide portals to MoD, dockyards and third party repairers for total supply chain management. The MoD will have total visibility on all aspects of the contract. Work will be subcontracted to the most efficient and cost effective provider rather than by the traditional choice of a preferred dockyard or pump supplier. This contract will revolutionize how the MoD manages its CLS (contractor logistics support) contracts, and save the taxpayer millions of pounds.
