EdgeCAM 9.5 Boosts the Versatility of Sandvik Coromant Wiper Inserts
Now the well known versatility of Sandvik Coromant Wiper inserts is even broader, due to EdgeCAM 9.5 from Pathtrace. Sandvik Coromant is leading the development of these types of high productivity inserts. By working closely with Sandvik, Pathtrace is first to provide support for hi-tech Wiper inserts for finish turning. EdgeCAM 9.5 ensures workpiece profile accuracy in any feed direction.
According to Chris Mills, Application Development Manager, of Sandvik Coromant: "Sandvik Coromant's aim is to provide innovative solutions which reduce customers' total production costs. To fulfill this goal it is essential that we combine optimized products with first class application capabilities. In this instance, to completely harness the cost reducing features of Wiper technology, it was necessary to develop tailored software.
