Omnify Software Joins Mentor Graphics OpenDoor Program
Omnify Software announced that it has joined the Mentor Graphics OpenDoorT partner program. Through the partnership, customers are able to reap the benefits of a joint solution based on Mentor's electronic design products and Omnify's PLM software.
The OpenDoor program consists of companies that offer well integrated, leading edge software solutions that complement the Mentor Graphics suite of tools in all aspects of the design process. Omnify's business-ready PLM solution allows for bi-directional sharing of information between the Omnify database and Mentor Graphics engineering design tools. This interface offers the ability for customers to simplify their component data and library management and enhance their productivity with Mentor's design tools. The integrated solution also eliminates the need for engineering departments to manage separate databases from other groups in an organization.

Leveraging Omnify PLM with Mentor design tools provides customers with:
Simplified part data and library management
• Seamlessly integrate between Omnify and Mentor's DxDesigner/DxDatabook products; providing engineers with a content database that is managed and used by all groups in an organization.
Automation of administrative tasks
• New part request (NPR)
• Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Bill of Materials (BOM) processing and management
Access to additional product development groups
• Eliminate disconnect between engineering and other groups in an organization such as Operations, Documentation Control/Configuration Management, Manufacturing Groups, and Test/QA.
Engineering Sandbox
• Create, modify, and organize BOMs prior to release without logging into the Omnify system.
Unified product development process
• Manage parts, bill of materials, engineering change, and documentation information in one location.
