Program Background:

To develop quality and consistency in automotive design resources around the world, SAE and Cadpo have been working with leading automotive organizations to create the industry's first automotive CAD certification. The certification increases the knowledge necessary to be a successful automotive CAD engineer and addresses specific needs outlined by some of the leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, including: the need for an independent industry-recognized program, the need to apply rapid changes in technology and automotive processes to shorten the product development cycle, the need for hiring professionals to identify design engineers equipped to solve automotive design challenges in the context of CAD applications, and the need for manufacturers to provide a professional development path for design engineers.

SAE is a non-profit engineering and scientific organization. Nearly 85,000 engineers and scientists who are SAE members develop technical information on all forms of self-propelled vehicles, including automobiles, aircraft, aerospace craft, trucks, buses, marine, rail and transit machinery. This information is disseminated through SAE meetings, books, electronic products and databases, technical papers, standards, reports, and professional development programs.

KNVL is a part of the $1 billion (USD) KALYANI Group, which has significant presence in the key sectors of the Indian economy. BHARAT FORGE Ltd. is the Flagship of the KALYANI Group. KNVL started its Engineering, Training and Services (ETS) division three years ago to deliver industry-focused modular CAD/CAM/CAE training and to undertake designing services.
