Proficiency Appoints Kerry Hopkin Chief Financial Officer
Proficiency announced the appointment of Kerry G. Hopkin as chief financial officer.

His more than 20 years of experience, knowledge of the software industry and solid leadership skills make him a valued addition to our organization as we continue to deliver unprecedented enterprise interoperability to engineering companies," said Trenton H. Brown, Proficiency's president and chief executive officer.
Early in his career, Hopkin served as controller of Applicon, a $100 million provider of CAD systems. Most recently, he acted as vice president of finance for ThinkFire, Inc., an intellectual property advisory company, and prior to that, he was vice president of finance for Yantra Corporation, a provider of multi-enterprise order and inventory management software. Previously, he acted as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer for Medical Specialties Distributors, a distributor of medical surgical products and equipment services.
During the course of his career, Hopkin has raised a total of $90 million in venture capital funding for four companies. His software industry experience includes successful negotiation of complex license agreements.
Hopkin holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Brigham Young University and a master's of business administration from the University of Chicago.
