IFS Launches Business Partner Network to Extend Geographic, Industry Market Reach

Continuing its strategic plan to extend its market reach through partnerships, IFS is launching a new Business Partner Network at PartnerWorld. The conference is taking place through Wednesday in Las Vegas.

"Providing our customers with a quality solution and the best value requires partnerships with global, regional, and local partners who can offer a range of services," said Bob Corrigan, director of channel sales for IFS North America. "To enhance our customer satisfaction, we are working with IBM to significantly strengthen our partner network to support growth within manufacturing and asset-intensive industries."

IFS' Business Partner Network consists of a small group of master distributors supported by a large group of solution partners, complementary service partners, and technology partners. Master distributors work with IFS to build network channels to provide sales, implementation, and support services in their assigned geographic areas and/or vertical industries. Solution partners, including resellers, service providers, and support providers, help master distributors to advance IFS Applications within the marketplace. Complementary service partners provide products and services related to IFS Applications, such as accounting and business consulting services, hosting services, and hardware. Technology partners extend and add value to IFS Applications, ensuring that customers have a solid infrastructure on which to run IFS software.

"Partners are an important part of our worldwide growth strategy across geographies and vertical industries," said Dave Eager, director of strategic alliances for IFS North America. "In North America, IBM helped to define a channel strategy that would enable IFS to build strategic relationships with regional systems integrators and distributors, particularly in the midsize manufacturing space. As a result, we've been able to identify and leverage profitable, long-term relationships for both IFS and our partners in North America. Globally, we plan to develop similar relationships through IBM's worldwide network of partners to further expand our market reach."

The Business Partner Network is designed to be a win-win approach for both IFS and its partners. Companies that partner with IFS are able to expand their businesses by leveraging the strengths of IFS Applications along with their areas of expertise. The IFS solution enables partners to help provide a solution that is implemented quickly, in a phased approach, and at a lower cost than other solutions available in the marketplace. At the same time, the partners help IFS to better serve its customers as it expands its service delivery capability.
