UGS to Provide NX and Teamcenter for Perlos Corporation

UGS announced that it will provide NXT and TeamcenterT software and services for Perlos Corporation to support its global product development. Perlos is a leading provider of electro-mechanical modules for the telecommunications and healthcare industries.

Today's announcement marks a continuation and consolidation of the joint work between the two companies which began in 1997.

The agreement creates a framework to deploy NX (UGS' digital product development software) and Teamcenter (UGS' product knowledge management and collaboration software) for Perlos. Perlos expects all of its product development centers worldwide to collaborate in the development process using the same PLM system.

"After product tests we have confidently selected UGS to be our PLM product and service provider for our extended global team, having facilities in; Finland, Brazil, China, Hungary, Singapore, Sweden, UK and the USA. With UGS' solutions and services, we will continue to ensure our customers are always one step ahead."

Perlos Corporation, headquartered in Finland, is a global supplier for the telecommunications, healthcare and electronics industries. The company focuses on the design, manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electronic modules with strict requirements on accuracy and quality.

The net sales of Perlos Corporation in 2004 were EUR 561.6 million and the company employed 6,117 people at the end of 2004. Perlos has operations in Brazil, China, Finland, Hungary, Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, the UK and the USA.
