IFS Applications Selected by Synthos

IFS has been selected by Synthos S.A., one of the largest companies in the chemical sector in Poland, to support all its business processes—from financials and manufacturing to quality management—and efficiently manage its growing operations. The most immediate issues are to streamline business processes in the company and enhance customer service.

Synthos S.A. has been present in the Polish market for 60 years and has three main business lines—synthetic rubber and latex, styrene plastics, and vinyl and copolymer dispersions. In the near future, the company plans to invest in a production facility for solution polymerized rubber. Other plans include increasing the annual manufacturing capacity for styrene and a higher output of Owipian®, the company’s trademark expandable polystyrene. The reasons for selecting IFS Applications were functionality and flexibility in co-operation. Synthos also appreciated the agility of IFS Applications.

Synthos will implement components from IFS Applications to manage a range of business processes that include financials, distribution, manufacturing, project management, maintenance, human resources, payroll, customer relationship management, business performance, document management and quality management.

“Synthos’ mission is to meet customer needs in the area of chemical raw materials, semi-finished products and products intended for further processing into final products. Our goal has been to achieve the best possible production quality at competitive prices, while being environmentally friendly,” said Dariusz Krawczyk, president of the Management Board of Synthos S.A.

“IFS Applications will help us to strengthen our position as the leader on the Polish market and abroad. We would like to become one of the leading suppliers on the European market, especially in respect of synthetic rubber, styrene plastics, and dispersion and copolymer products”.

For the past 25 years, IFS has supplied ERP solutions to a number of selected industries, including the process industry. Currently, IFS has almost 150 customers in Poland, among which are Hutmen, Bolix, Stalprodukt, Zlomrex and Sniezka.

IFS Applications will be implemented in Synthos in Poland and in the Czech Republic. There will be 550 IFS Applications users in Synthos.

The license revenues will be booked in the second quarter.
