Comet Solutions, Inc. Expands Customer-Facing Team to Capture Increasing Market Demand and Capitalize on Customer Success

Comet Solutions, Inc. announced that the organization has hired three industry experts to help manage its expanding customer base and to extend the company’s reach into international markets. Joining Comet’s team are PLM veterans Nitin Jain, Dan Vitale and Jean-Claude Mahuet, who collectively bring proven success in transforming the CAE industry, achieving customer satisfaction and expansion, and driving innovative solutions into the market while collaborating closely with customers to make them successful.

“The addition of these three seasoned team members underscores our commitment to work closely with innovative companies which seek competitive advantages in product development through much more effective and early use of product simulation,” said Dan Meyer, president, Comet Solutions Inc. “The team now in place understands the engineering challenges facing our customers and how to partner with customers to achieve results for their businesses. Furthermore, we have significantly improved our ability to drive sales and support our expanding network of business partners.

Nitin Jain joins Comet Solutions as technical sales and marketing Manager. Most recently, he led technical marketing for analysis products at Solidworks Corporation and served as the technical expert for COSMOS products to their global sales force. Mr. Jain joined Solidworks through the Dassault Systemes acquisition of SRAC, and he has many years experience in providing intuitive and straightforward CAD/CAE/PDM tools to help design teams develop better products. Mr. Jain is a frequent speaker at PLM industry conferences and is recognized for his expertise at the forefront of changes in CAE applications.

Dan Vitale joins Comet Solutions in the role of sales executive. Mr. Vitale has over 25 years sales experience, mainly in the CAD/CAE industry and including with pioneering young companies. Recently, he was Sales Director at the 3Dconnexion division of Logitech where he sold into major automotive accounts and other OEMs. Prior to this role, he was Director of Sales for Elumens, an emerging company with a hardware product for advanced visualization/simulation. His prior industry experience includes sales roles at Kubota Graphics/AccelGraphics, Control Data and Intergraph. Mr. Vitale has a track record of creating customer success through the sale of highly technical products and is known for his ability to closely collaborate with partners.

Jean-Claude Mahuet joins Comet Solutions in the role of senior customer applications engineer. Mr. Mahuet’s role revolves around customer success through rapid product adoption and benefits from Comet products. Mr. Mahuet has 17 years experience in a variety of pre and post-sales technical roles in the the PLM industry. Most recently, Mr. Mahuet worked at think3, where he drove customer success in the U.S. and Asia for their industrial design applications including spring-back analysis in plastics processing. Mr. Mahuet started his career with Cisigraph in customer support roles with a focus on plastic injection simulation software and FEA applications. Cisigraph was acquired by Matra Datavision, where he held application engineering roles working with a variety of 2D, 3D, simulation and FEA applications. He has held other technical consulting and engineering services roles with SDRC, Spatial Concepts and Intelligent Manufacturing Software. Mr. Mahuet is respected by customers for his technical competence, understanding of their design/engineering processes and drive to achieve results.
